Teenagers in court over taxi driver stabbing

Two teenagers have appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court after a taxi driver was stabbed in Oldbury last Thursday.

18-year-old Tyreece Clarke, and a 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with wounding the driver with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. He is now recovering at home.

Clarke, of Newhall Street, West Bromwich and the 16-year-old youth have also been charged with four counts of robbery, three counts of possession of a bladed article and one count of possession of an imitation firearm. They’ve been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on May 15.
