Tenants handbook is announced

Dudley tenants will be more informed about their rights and responsibilities thanks to an updated handbook.

The revised Dudley Council’s tenants’ handbook is available for download following its launch this month.

The comprehensive guide contains useful information and guidance about tenancies. Information featured includes welfare reforms, paying rent, repairs and maintenance, how to become involved in the running of their estates, service standards and housing options, as well as much more, to help towards the maintenance of their tenancy.

The booklet is available to download on the Dudley Council website.

Alan Lunt, Strategic Director for Place, said:

“It is important to ensure our tenants know and understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to the service provided by housing services.

"The tenants’ handbook is a good quality document which puts everything in one, easy to find, place.

"It works hand in hand with the tenancy condition handbooks which are issued to tenants whenever they become one of our tenants. I hope all Dudley Council tenants find this an invaluable tool for the future.”
