The Hospital Saturday Fund gifts £10k to lifesaving charity

The Hospital Saturday Fund, a national charity based in London has gifted a £10,000 grant to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s advanced pre-hospital service.

A £10,000 grant has been received by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at a recent visit from The Hospital Saturday Fund to its RAF Cosford airbase in Shropshire.

The Hospital Saturday Fund is a charity which aids registered health charities, hospices and other medical organisations who need grants for specific medical projects.

The grant is for the purchase of much-needed surgical training equipment. This new training equipment will enable the critical care clinicians at the charity to practice their enhanced clinical skills and will also help towards future-proofing the charity’s pre-hospital emergency service. John Randel, Trustee of The Hospital Saturday Fund, said:

“The Hospital Saturday Fund were delighted to award Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with a grant of £10,000. This grant will help fund essential surgical training equipment for its clinicians.

“The service that the charity provides to the community is remarkable, and this advanced equipment will allow their team of highly skilled critical care paramedics and pre-hospital emergency medicine doctors to practice lifesaving and high-risk procedures.

“The Hospital Saturday Fund is pleased to be part of this initiative which will significantly increase a patient’s chance of survival in a real-life emergency.”
