People can report issues to Dudley Council quicker by using the council smartphone app.
More than 12,000 people have already downloaded the Dudley Council app to their phone or tablet. It can be used to report issues while out and about including litter, fly-tipping, potholes, graffiti and much more.
Council tenants also use it to report housing repairs which are needed. People can also find out who their local councillor is and how to contact them or get the latest information on jobs. Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for procurement, transformation and commercialisation, said:
"We’re always looking for new ways for people to let us know about issues affecting their communities. Our commitment to the Dudley Deal means people can help us tackle issues such as graffiti or fly-tipping or simply find out how to work closer with their local councillor to bring about improvements. The app is one of the quickest and most effective ways of doing that.”
There have been 12,500 downloads of the app since it was launched, with more than 150 during December. People can find out more by visiting the council’s website at www.dudley.gov.uk and searching ‘council app’. It is available from major app stores.
As part of the Green Deal Dudley Council has set out a series of clear commitments to create a cleaner, greener borough, working with the residents.
