Thousands enjoyed fantastic live music, comedy and entertainment as Black Country Musicom returned to Himley Hall and Park yesterday.
Tributes to The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Coldplay, UB40, ELO, The Eagles and Harry Styles took centre stage today along with Let’s Rock The 70s – a tribute band bringing all the decade’s greatest hits from the likes of Queen, Status Quo, Elton John and David Bowie.
Top comedians and local bands performed in the comedy and acoustic tent and there was entertainment throughout the site for festival goers.
Sadly, with high winds forecast, the council, like many other event organisers, took the difficult decision to postpone Saturday's Dance Anthems and Club Classics event. Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said:
"What a fantastic day of live music, comedy and entertainment we’ve had at Himley Hall and Park! It’s great so many people came out to enjoy music from top tribute acts and comedians alongside our local talent.
"We were extremely disappointed yesterday’s Dance Anthems and Club Classics event, like many other events nationally and locally, could not go ahead due to the high winds forecast.
"But I want to say a massive thank you to the acts and performers who put on such an amazing show today and to everyone who came along and brought a festival atmosphere to the park."
Following the postponement of Dance Anthems and Club Classics, all Saturday ticket holders will be contacted via See Tickets in the coming days with further information.
