TV comic and stage actor, Jason Manford, will perform at Dudley Town Hall in 2018.
The popular comedian hosted The Nightly Show this month and has also appeared on comedy favourites, including Live At The Apollo, Sunday Night At The Palladium, and The Royal Variety Show.
As well as making people laugh, Jason has shown his acting prowess, touring the UK in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and making his West End debut in the London revival of Sweeney Todd at the Adelphi Theatre opposite Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton.
He will be bringing his brand new tour show – Muddle Class – to Dudley Town Hall on Friday April 27th next year. It is currently the only date the star has confirmed for the Birmingham and Black Country area and has been labelled a “massive coup” by town hall bosses in the borough.
Tickets will go on sale from 10am on Friday and are expected to be snapped up quickly. Peter Jordan, town halls and entertainment manager, said:
“We're absolutely thrilled to welcome Jason back to Dudley Town Hall. It is a massive coup for the borough to be able to attract acts of this standing.
“Jason is one of the finest comedians of his generation, and we're very lucky that he's decided to return to Dudley.”
Jason said:
“Somebody said to me on my Facebook fan page, 'it's been ages since you've toured'. So I've been putting some stuff together, looking at my life and how it's changed over the years, how the world has changed and how my parents haven't changed a bit!
It's going to be a great tour and I can't wait to see you there.”
Manford is just one of a number of big names who will be performing at Dudley and Stourbridge Town Hall over the coming 12 months. They include Jasper Carrott, Russell Kane, Paul Chowdhry, Doreen Tipton, Rich Hall, Jenny Eclair and Jethro.
Tickets for Jason Manford will cost £27.50 plus booking fees and will be available on Friday from 10am at boroughhalls.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01384 812812.
