Two borough venues nominated for prestigious awards

Two top borough venues have been shortlisted for a regional entertainment award.

Dudley Town Hall and Dudley Museum at the Archives have both been named as finalists in the What’s On Readers Awards 2019.

The town hall is in the 'Best Live Music Venue' category, up against other similar establishments including The Robin 2, The Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton and Brierley Hill Civic Hall.

Dudley Museum at the Archives is also a finalist in the Best Art Gallery / Exhibition in the Black Country category, up against the Lighthouse in Wolverhampton and the New Art Gallery in Walsall. Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for regeneration said:

"It’s great that two of our venues have been nominated for not one but two awards, and are holding their own against some much bigger attractions.

"We’re proud of our borough and I hope that local people show their pride in the borough too and vote for Dudley.”
