Two injured in Bewdley RTC

Two people have been taken to one of the region’s major trauma centres, one in a serious condition, after a car crashed into a wall overnight.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Lower Park in Bewdley at 2.11am this morning and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor to the scene. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said:

“Crews arrived to find two patients, one of whom, a man, was in a serious condition having suffered multiple injuries in the incident.

“He received specialist trauma care at the scene and once his condition had been stabilised, he was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital on blue lights and sirens.

“The doctor travelled with the patient to help continue treatment on the way to hospital.

“The driver of the car, a woman, was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to the same hospital for further assessment.”
