Union J star to open Halesowen Carnival

Singer and actor, Jaymi Hensley (L) will open the event and present guest of honour, Finley Hill with his VIP sash

Jaymi Hensley will officially cut the ribbon at the event and will present guest of honour, Finley Hill, with his VIP sash and goodybag.

Hensley, who is currently playing the lead role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, will make a fleeting visit to the event, which will be held at Highfields Park on July 6th, when the tour arrives at Birmingham Hippodrome. Carnival organiser, Stuart Henley, said:

“We’re really happy Jaymi could come over to cut the ribbon. He was really keen to come and meet Finn and help where possible.

“He will make a flying visit as he will be on stage at 2pm in Birmingham so a huge thank you to him for soaring the time!

“We will also have 2 Miss England finalist attending the event on the day to escort Finn around and promote their own hard work within the community - it’d be great to see as many people there as possible!”

Halesowen Carnival & Music Festival returns for another year on July 6th, with two music stages playing a range of artists between midday and early evening. There’s also a range of stalls and activities including a dog show, teddy bear’s picnic, wrestling and dance performances.

Entry is free and the day kicks off at 12 noon.
