Visitors welcomed back to Sandwell Park Farm

The popular Sandwell Park Farm, part of Sandwell Valley Country Park, will be welcoming the public once again when it re-opens from 10am on Monday 19th July.

Measures have been put in place ensure the attraction is compliant with government Covid-19 guidelines. These include the introduction of a one-way system where possible, and additional hand-washing facilities.

Visitors will have free of charge access to Sandwell Park Farm Visitor Centre, and will be able to enjoy the shop, visit the Victorian walled kitchen garden and museum, sit outside and enjoy food purchased from the tearooms, explore the maze, and activities around the site.

The animals from Sandwell Park Farm were moved to Forge Mill Farm at the start of the pandemic to ensure visitors could experience the complete collection of livestock the farms have to offer. This has increased the popularity of Forge Mill Farm and generated excellent feedback about the added attractions there.

Forge Mill Farm also provides significantly more space for visitors to enjoy walking around and seeing the animals, and the council will continue to expand the offer at Forge Mill Farm over the next few years. Sunish Patel, Sandwell Valley Business Manager, said:

“We’re delighted to be able to welcome visitors back to Sandwell Park Farm, as well as continuing to develop our offer at nearby Forge Mill Farm.”
