Wall Heath Tennis Club teams up with Bright Ideas for Tennis to support new stars

Twenty-five families in and around Wall Heath were the first to snap up a fantastic family membership offer including free rackets and balls at a local tennis club.

Tennis is one of three sports that has been given permission by the Government to return under strict guidelines and social distancing measures. The nature of tennis means that safe distancing can be maintained and is compliant with the new adjustment of lockdown restrictions.

Families in the same household are encouraged to participate in activities together and tennis can be easily adapted to suit different age groups and abilities. Staying active and playing tennis have been proven to improve mental and physical well-being while alleviating stress, boosting confidence and increasing fitness levels.

Wall Heath Tennis Club, Bright Ideas for Tennis and Head UK have teamed up to support families wishing to give the game a go by offering a reduced membership package, supplying free tennis racquets and balls and providing on-going coaching opportunities for all age groups in a safe environment.

The Limited membership offer was snapped up in a day and it is hoped the club will be able to extend the offer to an ever growing waiting list. Prospective players are encouraged to check online where a variety of memberships are available now with measures in place for safe play. Adrian Hyde, the club's head coach, said:

’Wall Heath Tennis Club is thrilled to be one of only three clubs across England to be invited to participate in this offer. The club is always looking to open its gates to new members and players.

"Be sure to continue to follow Government advice and keep up to date with restrictions and regulations at all times."
