Walsall girl takes Miss Birmingham title

21-year-old Courtney Willey has been named Miss Birmingham 2019 and will be competing in the first ever Miss Sovereign Great Britain competition.

The contest takes place on August 17th at the Lyceum Theatre in Cheshire, when entrants will compete for the crown.

Courtney, a university student and part time model, will also be supporting Caudwell Children’s Charity in the upcoming weeks. She said:

“This charity is a very important cause as my 3 year old nephew is autistic.

“I hope I can bring awareness to children with disabilities and help raise funds to help support families and those children in need.”

The Miss Sovereign GB pageant, sees the girls competing in fashion wear, evening gown and little black dress categories, with the winner receiving a number of opportunities as they begin an amazing year with their new title.

Courtney is looking for as much local support on the run up to the finals as possible and she will be out in the local community meeting some amazing charities and local people.

As a supporter of the fight to break the stigma around mental health, she has a goal to help people understand how bad mental health can affect anyone.
