A lighting manufacturer based in Aldridge has received a £5,000 grant from Walsall Business Support to invest in a new customer relationship management system.
Established in 2008, One-LUX are specialists in the development and manufacture of emergency lighting solutions and controls. The company supplies the international lighting market from a dedicated manufacturing facility on Merchants Way in Aldridge.
Walsall Business Support has awarded the grant to One-LUX to help them fund the CRM system, which will enhance the company’s sales, marketing and customer service functions and make it easier to expand into new markets.
One-LUX managing director Glynnis Murray said: “The new CRM system will improve operational efficiency by automating routine tasks and support our sales growth as the business seeks to expand its UK and international customer base.
“The system will enable us to store all customer data in one place and provide in-depth insight into customer behaviours, which will improve customer service and help our marketing and sales teams to target new prospects more easily.
“We also hope that the CRM system will help employees gain valuable new digital skills.”
Formed by leading local business figures to distribute funds collected from the legacy of Walsall Chamber of Commerce, Walsall Business Support provides grants to applicants who want funding for projects to enhance business life in the borough.
Walsall Business Support board member Adam Howell said: “We are pleased to see One-LUX benefit from this funding.
“As well as supporting the business, the implementation of the new CRM system will likely involve local IT services, boosting regional suppliers and service providers.
“We hope that the CRM system will help enhance One-LUX’s UK and international sales, bringing more revenue to Walsall and strengthening the area’s economy.”
