Walsall murder victim named

Police have named the man who was found with a fatal head injury inside his Walsall flat on Friday 6th July as their murder investigation continues.

Edwin Michael Bradley was found dead just before 6.30pm in St Thomas Close, Coalpool following concerns from neighbours after he hadn’t been seen for several days. The 65-year-old, who leaves behind a daughter, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination determined he had been killed as result of blunt force trauma to his head and a murder investigation was launched. Detective Chief Inspector Ed Foster is continuing to appeal for information. He said:

“We suspect that Mr Bradley may have been dead for several days before being discovered. We have spoken to several neighbours and we continue to build up a picture of his final movements.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in St Thomas Close in recent days or any unfamiliar faces coming and going."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101 quoting log number 2337 from 6 July or the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
