Warrants have been issued against several Birmingham people accused of dumping rubbish in the city.
Three fly-tipping cases were due to be heard at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Thursday (August 13) but the accused failed to turn up as expected.
Prosecutors on behalf of Birmingham City Council requested warrants to be issued against the three people involved, which were granted by the bench.
All the cases related to alleged breaches of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Rabih Ali Mohaldi, aged 50, of Hamstead Road, Birmingham was due to appear to answer five charges.
These involved the dumping of large amounts of carpet off cuts and underlay and a used washing machine from a van onto land on Crick Lane without having an environmental permit.
He also has a charge of failing to comply with a notice requesting information from him. The dates of the offences took place between September 24 2025 and November 10 2025.
In a separate case, 48-year-old Alex Kabuambay Mbumba, of Hawcroft Grove, Birmingham was due to face two charges at the court.
Both the charges relate to dumping a large amount of waste from a van onto land in Yardley Green Road, Birmingham, without an environmental permit on July 7 last year.
And a third case involved Marwa Saeed of Upper Highgate Street in Birmingham, who was due to face three charges.
The 28-year-old is accused of dumping a number of carrier bags of waste and cannisters on land in Arter Street, Birmingham, without having an environmental permit on June 16 2025.
He is also accused of failing to comply with a notice served to him in writing by Birmingham City Council which requested information of the driver and any passengers of a car involved in the alleged offence.
The warrants were issued for the arrest of the three accused and for them to be brought before the court at a later date.
