Well-deserved praise for pupils at a Kingswinford Primary School

Ten hardworking pupils at Dingle Community Primary School in Kingswinford have had their efforts commended by their fellow classmates, teachers, parents and local MP.

At the Praise Assembly, which the school hold every Friday, the children were awarded for a range of efforts – from always trying their best in class, to making progress in the afterschool karate club.

Mike Wood, Member of Parliament for Dudley South, joined teachers and parents for the occasion. Following the assembly, Mr Wood said:

“It has been an absolute pleasure to attend this Praise Assembly and join in the celebration of these youngsters.

“It is so great that the whole of Dingle Community Primary come together each week for this very special occasion to celebrate each other’s achievements.

“Once again I would like to give my congratulations to this week’s ten well-deserved winners.”

Gemma Anderson, Headteacher at Dingle Community Primary School, added: “Our weekly Praise Assembly is important to us at Dingle Community Primary.

“It's a chance to celebrate the wonderful children of our school and our core values of community, achievement, resilience, independence, nurture and growth.

“The pupils were pleased to be able to share this with Mike. Our award winners of the week were particularly proud!”
