West Midlands Mayor Andy Street and Nicola Richards MP with representatives from E-on at the 2021 West Bromwich Jobs and Careers Fair

Nicola Richards, will be holding her second annual Jobs and Careers Fair on Thursday 24th November at West Bromwich Town Hall between 2pm and 6pm.

The event, part of her #StriveToSucceed campaign to raise aspirations of young people in West Bromwich East, will be an opportunity for local students and job seekers to meet a variety of local and national employers, as well as training and apprenticeship providers.

Confirmed exhibitors include organisations with live job vacancies to full, such as Amazon, Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust, The West Brom and West Midlands Police.

Additionally, a range of local training providers will be in attendance to advise students of how they can move into the world of work at the end of their studies with opportunities like apprenticeships.

The event is also being supported by Jobcentre Plus to ensure a wide range of local job seekers can benefit.

Lloyds Bank will also be on hand to provide workshops for those looking to refine their CV writing skills. Nicola said:

“Strive To Succeed is all about giving young people opportunities that those in other areas of the country already benefit from. My annual Jobs and Careers Fair is an integral part of that.

“Whether you are looking for work right now or are considering your options for when you leave school, this event will be ideal to learn more about the opportunities that are out there.

“Last year’s event was well attended by both job seekers and students from the local area, and I hope even more people will benefit from it this year.”

Job seekers are encouraged to attend between 2pm and 4pm, whereas students are invited to attend from 4pm until 6pm following the conclusion of the school or college day.

Everyone interested in attending is encouraged to sign up on Nicola’s website.
