West Bromwich MP hosts jobs and careers fair

West Bromwich East MP, Nicola Richards, is hosting her latest Jobs and Careers Fair at Wesley Methodist Church in West Bromwich on Friday 9th February.

In attendance will be local and national employers, training and apprenticeship providers, and support services from organisations like the Department for Work and Pensions.

Some of the employers attending include Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust, West Brom building society, West Midlands Police, The British Army, Keltruck, Lidl, and many more.

The event is taking place between 10am and 1pm and is open to all job seekers and students who are nearing the end of their studies and considering future career options.

It is the third Jobs and Careers Fair held in West Bromwich as part of Nicola’s #StriveToSucceed campaign. As well as regular jobs fairs, Nicola has also organised networking events for students with high profile professionals, including an online event with Ben Francis, CEO of West Midlands based company Gymshark. Nicola said:

“My Strive To Succeed campaign is all about improving outcomes for people here in Sandwell. Whether that’s by showcasing local opportunities for people to get into
work, or by giving young people the chance to meet and network with professionals as they consider their future careers.

“This will be my third Jobs and Careers Fair and I am looking forward to welcoming job seekers and
students who are preparing to leave college or sixth form to the event next month.

“We’ve got organisations showcasing job vacancies, training, and apprenticeships. If you’re looking
for work, considering a career change, or soon to leave school or college, it is a really valuable
opportunity to learn more about what opportunities are available on your doorstep.”

There is no need to register to attend. Full details of the event, including the latest list of exhibitors, can be found at nicolarichards.org.uk.
