Wolverhampton Grand launches the spectacular Sleeping Beauty

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has officially launched the Midlands’ must-see pantomime, its spectacular 2018/19 production of 'Sleeping Beauty', which opens on Saturday 8th December.

The launch was held at the Mount Hotel Country Manor with all seven principal cast members, including Debbie McGee who plays The Lovely Fairy Crystal and Richard Cadell who takes on the role of Muddles the Jester, aided by his sidekick; teddy bear royalty, Sooty!

Doreen Tipton returns for a third consecutive pantomime season as Nurse Doreen, as does Ian Adams as the Dame, playing Queen Wilhelmina. Ian will also direct the production assisted by Grand Theatre Chief Executive and Artistic Director Adrian Jackson.

West End star, Oliver Ormson (The Book of Mormon, The Addams Family) will play Prince Harry and he is joined by recording artist Bethan-Wyn Davies as Princess Beauty. Julie Paton returns to choreograph for a second year and plays villain, the wicked Carabosse.
 
Sleeping Beauty will open on Saturday 8th December 2018 with two performances a day until Sunday 13th January 2019, produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer and the team behind the Grand’s must-see annual festive production. Press and PR Manager at the Grand Theatre, Scott Bird said:

"It’s always a hugely exciting day when we meet our pantomime cast and have them all together for this first time. This year’s show promises to be another spectacular production with exciting special effects, plenty of fun, bucket-loads of comedy and another great cast line up.”
