Wordsley and Kingswinford Christmas Tree Festivals show community spirit

Dudley South MP Mike Wood has praised local organisations for getting in the Christmas spirit and taking part in another year of “brilliant Christmas Tree Festivals”.

After visiting Christmas Tree Festivals at Holy Trinity Church in Wordsley, St Mary’s Church in Kingswinford and opening the Christmas Tree Festival at Red House Glass Cone with the borough’s Mayor, Cllr Andrea Goddard.

Mr Wood has praised the organisations who have taken part by displaying trees. Mr Wood, who himself displayed a tree at each of the festivals, said:

“Christmas Tree Festivals are a great way to get us all in the Christmas spirit and bring the community together.

“From local schools and charities to local businesses and music groups, by taking part in these local Christmas Tree Festivals, these organisations are also playing a part in helping the local charities and causes which each festival supports”.

Funds raised through the Christmas Tree Festival at Red House Glass Cone are being distributed to among the Mayor’s charities which include Dudley Community First Responders, Mary Stevens Hospice, UpsnDowns and Prostate Cancer UK.
