A Wordsley man who was banned from driving has been jailed for 16 months after leading police on a car chase through the Black Country.
25 year-old Matthew Lewis ignored a request to stop after officers spotted him speeding near the Birchley Island in Oldbury.
He drove at over 70mph in a 30mph limit and went through a set of red lights during the pursuit in October last year.
Lewis from Bells Lane, who had 14 previous convictions and was on licence after being freed from a prison sentence, admitted dangerous driving, having no insurance and driving while disqualified.
