Work begins to clear Brierley Hill rubbish mountain

Work has finally started to clear a huge waste mound in Brierley Hill which has blighted local people’s lives for the last few years.

The site, previously occupied by Refuse Derived Fuel, saw a 40 foot pile of rubbish build up, creating an eyesore for local residents.

RDF director Robert McNaughton was sentenced to six months in prison in 2013, for failing to clear the rubbish within agreed timescales.
