The "devastated" family of a 17-year-old motorcyclist who died following a crash in Aberdeenshire have paid tribute to the "deeply loved" teenager.
Kayden Thompson was travelling on the Macduff to Fraserburgh B9031 road when the single-vehicle crash happened near Pennan at about 5.30pm on Monday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement issued via Police Scotland, his family said: "We are devastated at the loss of our deeply loved son, brother, grandson and nephew, Kayden.
"He will be missed by all who knew him, especially family.
"Kayden, also known as Kayda and K: forever 17 and forever Dawn and Alan's little boy."
Police are continuing investigations into the crash, which involved a black Honda CB500.
