A woman found dead at a property in Rochdale has been named as Keeley Aspinall, known to loved ones as Kiki.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare at an address on Tweedale Street at around 4pm on Monday.
The 44-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a tribute released through police, her family said: "Gone too soon.. we can't believe you are gone. We will always love you and miss you, love all your family xx."
Police said inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding Ms Aspinall's death and urged anyone with information to make contact.
