Man charged with murder after 16-year-old boy from Motherwell stabbed to death in Northampton

A man has been charged with murder after a 16-year-old boy died in a stabbing in Northamptonshire.

Khadeem Parris, from Motherwell in North Lanarkshire, died as a result of a stab wound following an incident at an address in the Abington area of Northampton on 7 July.

Northamptonshire Police said suspect Fuad Mohamud, 21, of the Briar Hill area, has been charged with murder and will appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

A 19-year-old man, a 56-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail pending further inquiries, the force added.

In a statement released by police on Monday, Khadeem's family said he was "such a kind son" and was "ready and excited to be starting college in August to study to be a plumber and electrician".

His relatives added: "Words can't explain how we feel at this time. We cannot understand it and we are utterly heartbroken at his loss.

"Khadeem, we love you, we miss you and you will always be in our hearts."
