A man has been charged with murder after a "beloved mother" was found fatally injured at an address in Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police launched a murder investigation last Thursday following the death of Gosia Wiktor at a property in Foster Square.
In a statement, the force said when officers were called to the address "51-year-old Gosia was found seriously injured. She sadly died at the scene."
Jack Johns, 52, of School Street, Tingley, has now been charged with her murder and remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court this morning.
Ms Wiktor's family issued a tribute on Monday describing her as a "beloved mother" who would be "forever in our hearts".
"It is so hard to find words when our hearts are filled with sorrow.... We still cannot believe that we will no longer hear your laughter, see your smile.
"You left far too soon, leaving behind an emptiness that nothing can fill. As a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, you were the heart of our family, a source of warmth, love, and joy.
"The pain felt by our entire family is beyond words."
The statement concluded: "Forever in our hearts and thoughts. Your loving family."
