Death of British national confirmed in Ukraine

A British national has died in Ukraine, the government has confirmed.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said the family of the deceased has been made aware.

A spokesperson for the ministry said: "We are supporting the family of a British national who has died in Ukraine, and are in contact with the Ukrainian authorities."

The Briton was killed in action while fighting alongside Ukrainian troops, according to reports.
