Casting for the upcoming UK tour of Kinky Boots has been announced, with former Corrie star, Paula Lane, as Lauren and Joel Harper-Jackson portraying Charlie.
Joel Harper Jackson and Paula Lane star in the UK tour, with Kayi Ushe playing Lola for it's performances in Birmingham.The tour will open in Northampton on 19th September 2018, returning to the home of this heart-warming British story, whilst the West End production continues at the Adelphi Theatre until 12 January 2019. The show visits Wolverhampton Grand between the 16th and 27th October, where Callum Francis will play the role of Lola, and Birmingham Hippodrome for 2 weeks from 11th March 2019 where Kayi Ushe takes over the role.
The London production has become a favourite with UK theatregoers, having won three Olivier Awards for Best New Musical, Best Costume Design and Best Actor in a Musical for Matt Henry, who played Lola. Kinky Boots also won three WhatsOnStage Awards for Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical and Best Choreography.
With a book by Broadway legend, and four-time Tony Award-winner, Harvey Fierstein (La Cage Aux Folles), and songs by Grammy and Tony winning pop icon, Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical celebration is about the friendships we discover, and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind.

Callum francis will start the tour, playing Lola at dates in Wolverhampton this October.With direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award-winner, Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde, Hairspray), Kinky Boots is the winner of every major Best Musical award including three Olivier Awards, three WhatsOnStage Awards as well as six Broadway Tony Awards.
Joel Harper-Jackson starred in the UK tours of Rent and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and the London production of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical.
Paula Lane is best known for her role as Kylie Platt in Coronation Street - a part she played for almost 6 years. She's also starred in Doctors, Heartbeat and The Royal.
Callum Francis recently finished the Australian tour of show, staring as Lola, a role he also played in the West End. Kayi Ushe has several theatre credits including West End runs of Motown the Musical, The Book of Mormon and Crazy for You at the London Palladium.
