A big thank you for the volunteer response across Dudley

Dudley CVS are acknowledging the amazing community spirit over recent months in light of the pandemic, with an initiative where voluntary organisations can recognise their members with a special 'thank you' pack.

2020 has been an unprecedented year and volunteers are always ready to respond in times of need. Amazing people have risen to the challenge during the Coronavirus pandemic, giving their time to support isolated and vulnerable people and communities across the Dudley borough.

Dudley CVS is helping voluntary groups from across the Borough recognise their own volunteers’ contributions, with a special 'thank you pack' which are free for qualifying groups in the area.

To order packs for your volunteers, you can email admin@dudleycvs.org.uk. The team will put the packs together and make to arrange a time to collect from their main office in Brierley Hill.

In further recognition of the incredible volunteer response form across the area, Dudley CVS are recognising achievements differently this year at their annual awards. It was felt that the awards need to recognise and reflect the outstanding contributions, made by both individuals and groups, to support those most vulnerable during these challenging times.

In the autumn, in association with Black Country Radio, they will be hosting the COVID Heroes Awards 2020 in recognition of volunteers, paid staff and local groups who have truly gone the extra mile.

Members of the public have a couple of weeks to nominate their COVID hero by completing the nomination form. Nominations for this years awards, close at 11:59pm on Friday 28th August.
