A West Midlands Police officer who jumped into a freezing cold canal to rescue a woman who'd fallen in has been given two awards.
PC Carl Walters was called to Bentley Bridge in Wolverhampton after a woman fell from a bridge and into the water. He told her to swim to the side but she struggled to stay afloat, so he dived in to save her.
He pulled her from the canal and she was taken to hospital with hypothermia, but thankfully survived.
PC Walters then went home for a shower and was back on duty just three hours later.
