Omma and Chain Buskin' for Charity
The Omma n Chain's main chosen charity this year is Dudley NHS TRust diabetes unit at R Hall hospital. After discussions with staff and doctors about the function and needs of the unit Billy Spakemon ( Dr Brian Dakin) along with John Langford decided to support the unit as well as Sandwells support group which works out of Glebefields library. As part of the fund raising Bostas 5 has been produced at Pete Wain's Headline studios with artwork by Alex Vann . It contains tracks donated by local artists and is 3.00 or 4.00 including pp DR B Dakin 53 Midhill Drive Rowley Regis B65 9SG ( cheques to B Dakin). It will be available from the Maverick Amblecote at John's music nights every Wednesday. The Buskin' team will be kicking off March 9 at Tesco's Burnt Tree and then all over the region through the year. Confirmed venues ( dates to be listed ) are Elephant and Castle Cradely, Langley Conservative Club. Russells Hall Reception and Main opening The Maverick Amblecote, Wollaston Tennis club and they hope to have a full one day festival at the Lamp Tavern in Dudley. This year during the summer months you'll see them buskin in the streets of Dudley, Stourbridge , Black heath and several more towns so watch out for Billy John and the tribe playing infront of the BC Radio Buskin' For Charity Banner.
