BREAKING: UKIP’s Bill Etheridge resigns as parties sport spokesman

UKIP sports spokesman, Bill Etheridge MEP, has tendered his resignation following Henry Bolton’s desperate bid to cling on to power.

He said yesterday that he could not serve under the current leader and urged him to stand down for the good of the party.

Despite the supposed ending of the romantic relationship between himself and Jo Marney, who has caused so much controversy with racist tweets and messages, Mr Bolton said he did not intend to resign.

Mr Etheridge recalled Mr Bolton’s recent appearance on Daily Politics, where he was seen to be laughing off serious problems, saying it was “simply not good enough”

Mr Etheridge stressed that his problem with Mr Bolton is his lack of political nous rather than his love life. He said:

“I am resigning as a spokesman for UKIP and focussing in pursuing Brexit through public meetings and rallies.

“I also urge members to contact the NEC to call for the removal of Henry Bolton before his ego finally drags the party down.

“Making sure we get a proper Brexit is the most important thing of all. UKIP cannot allow distractions like this to take our attention off the thing that is most important to our country.
