Dudley jobs fair to showcase Commonwealth Games work opportunities

A huge range of opportunities connected to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be available at a jobs fair in Dudley next week

Employers and training providers will be coming to the new Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre in Dudley town centre on Tuesday 26 April to share information with people who are looking for work.

A mix of temporary and permanent roles in security, catering, hospitality, logistics, and cleaning will be on offer at the event, along with vacancies in other industries related to the Games.

Representatives from Birmingham 2022 will be among the many high-profile businesses and organisations at the fair.

Attendees will also be able to get advice from the Council’s adult learning team on completing applications, writing CVs and successful interview techniques. Helen Martin, director of regeneration and enterprise at Dudley Council, said:

“The countdown to the Commonwealth Games is ticking and as we pass 100 days to go until the opening ceremony, now is the perfect time to line up a summer job at this once-in-a-lifetime event.

“Our jobs fair will showcase the fantastic opportunities on offer at the Games, which are sure to stand out on people’s CVs once it has concluded.”

No booking in advance is required for the event, which will take place in the leisure centre sports hall between 10am and 4pm.
