Dudley Zoo To Remain Closed As Storm Doris Hits The UK

As high winds sweep the country, Dudley Zoo has taken the decision to remain closed today.

Zoo Manager, Matt Lewis, said:

"We’ve been closely monitoring the weather overnight and with high wind speeds expected over the next few hours we’ve taken the decision to remain closed today for animal and public safety.

“Our exotic animal collection will be kept in their internal dens and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the trees around the 40-acre ancient wooded site.

Bosses say the Castle Hill attraction aims to re-open as normal tomorrow, but  guests should keep an eye on the zoo’s website and social media channels for any further updates.
