Talkin’ Tables at The Elton Centre celebrates the national charity’s first birthday in Stourbridge

Talkin’ Tables work with local businesses to create facilitated inclusive spaces that allow people to meet & connect with others in their community.

In Stourbridge it is run by Diana Thomas-Smout and meets at The Elton Centre, Stourbridge Tesco, The Kingsbridge and the Sofio Lounge.

Stourbridge MP Suzanne Webb visited Talkin’ Tables at The Elton Centre on Monday, “Thank you to Talkin’ Tables for inviting me to celebrate its first birthday here in Stourbridge,

“This charity does great work in our town and across the country to tackle loneliness and I thank Diana and her team for all they do.”

Diana said: “It was a pleasure for our delightful MP Suzanne Webb to be our special guest at Talkin’ Tables Dudley/Stourbridge first Birthday Party.

“We began Talkin’ Tables in 2022 on 5th September and now meet in ten different venues each week.” She added the group has a Facebook group called ‘friends @ Talkin’ Tables in Dudley/Stourbridge’ to keep people up to date with daily venues and other events. “

People in Stourbridge can join us each morning from 10.30 till 11.30 am for a drink, a chat and a giggle.

“Don’t be on your own looking at four walls - pop out for a coffee and a chat!”
